Today i start the week with the fourth module of Andrew Price’s Architecture Academy. In this module i create a scene with both interior and exterior which is new. The lighting for this one is really different from the previous modules purely because of the time of the day the render is rendered which is the Blue Hour.
For those of you who don’t know what the blue hour is, it’s basically the time after sunset which you start to turn on the light while still having some light for the exterior. Here is some more information about the blue hour.
As for the building it self isn’t actually that hard since i start to learn about blocking and creating the big thing first. The material is relatively the same as the previous material and the only new struggle is with the indoor lighting and getting the place to look inviting. Here is some test render with 300 samples:
